Doha and Bangladesh, 2011
During one of my father-son trips to Bangladesh we took a side trip to Doha, Qatar! It was an incredibly unique experience. The city was huge, yet seemed empty at times. Everyone is always inside because of the high, dry temperature. You will find most people within the system of indoor malls connected by indoor walking paths.
One of the coolest things I did in Doha was take a desert tour on camelback. My father and I had a guide, also on camelback, who led our camels through the desert and to a desert-sea. The ride back was by Jeep, but this was part of the experience too: our driver took us on wild paths over sand dunes.
